Ernest was born on June 24, 1939 to Ernest and Myrtle (Kilpatrick) Hancock Sr. in Dade City, Florida. He was united in marriage to Sheryl Kay Dodge on July 8, 1960 in Mesa, Arizona. Ernest was a retired claims adjuster. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Sheryl Hancock of New Fairview; his son, Ernest Theadore Hancock III of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughters, Sherilyn Faye Dowlearn of Decatur, and Rhonda Lynn Starin of Prescott Valley, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
