Emory Warner Moss

Decatur ~ Emory Warner Moss, 88, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 26, 2018 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Plainview Cemetery in Krum, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Tracey Epting will officiate.

Emory was born on April 24, 1929 to Dillard Emett and Fanny Francis (Wilcheck) Moss in Krum, Texas. He was united in marriage to Litha Finley on March 14, 1954 in Stoney Baptist Church. Emory served 2 years in the Military. He retired from Lone Star Gas Company after 31 years as a pipeline operator in the natural gas petroleum production industry.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Litha Finley Moss; his grandson, Tobi Moss; his great grandsons, Mason Hendrix and Billy Wayne Robinson; his great granddaughter, Mary Marie Harris; his son in law, Steven Ray Thorneberry and 8 brothers and sisters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Betty Thorneberry of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Mary Robinson and husband Billy of Waxahachie, Debbie Coredro and husband Patrick of Decatur, Sarah Moss of Decatur, Bobbie Hendrix of Decatur, Nancy Resma and husband Earnest of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
