Emily Jean Anderson

Springtown ~ Emily Jean Anderson, 80, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in Springtown.

Emily was born on November 30, 1945, to Emil and Willa Jean (Elliot) Stanke in Brownwood. She was united in marriage to John Anderson on July 5, 1963, in Brownwood. Emily retired after many years of dedicated service as a school bus driver for Springtown ISD. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a faithful and devoted member of New Beginnings Church in Springtown. Emily was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judy Murphree.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, John Wayne Anderson; her children, Wes Anderson and his wife, Kristine, Wendy Haynes and her husband, Tony, and Misty Walter and her husband, Allen; her grandchildren, Brandon, Zackery and his wife, Chelsie, Kayse, and Jessica; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
