WATAUGA -- Elmer Eugene O'Neal, 78, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at his home.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery near Rhome. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Rev. Dale Noska will officiate.
Elmer was born on March 29, 1929 in Bluett, Texas to Earl and Florence (Shelby) O'Neal. He married Faye Arlene Stout on February 15, 1970 in Madill, Oklahoma. Elmer served 2 years in the US Army and 6 years in the National Guard. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and he was a Baptist.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Earl O'Neal.
Left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife of 37 years, Arlene O'Neal of Watauga; his son, Mike Stack and wife Debbie of Paradise; 3 daughters, Brenda Pearson of Eagle Mountain Lake, Sandy O'Donnell of Granbury, Vicki Burch and husband Jackie of Boyd; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille Starnes of Rhome, Ann Lloyd of Virginia; 1 brother, Billy Clyde O'Neal of Newcaste; numerous nieces and nephews.
