Decatur: Ellen Hudson, 69, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, September 9th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Louis Horton officiating. Interment: Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 8th.
Pallbearers include Dennis Hudson, Britt Burns, Bubba Hudson, Dale Watts, Freddie Lawson, Jason Culpepper, Dr. Michael Bond and Shawn Hudson.
Ellen was born June 26, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leo Glen and Edith Marie Grimes Sechrist. She married Charles Ray Hudson on November 8, 1966 and was married 42 years at his death on April 22, 2009.
Left behind to cherish her memory are four daughters, Karen Dawson and husband, Cecil, Laurie Pippin and husband, Tim, Rae Ella Hudson and husband, Paul Tambunga, and Lacie Hudson all of Decatur; four brothers, Jimmy Hunt and wife, Verlin of Denton, Kenneth Hunt and wife, Lillie, Steve Hunt and wife, Karen, Freddy Hunt and wife, Monica all of Decatur; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

My sympathy to you in the loss of Mrs. Hudson. I was a neighbor on Old Denton Rd. from '78-'83 and remember her well.
