DECATUR -- Elizabeth "Betty" Smith, 76, a homemaker, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, in Decatur. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Wednesday at Decatur Senior Center.
Survivors: Daughters, LaDonna McDaniel and husband, Wally of Decatur, Laurie Johnson of Decatur and LaVan Smith of Azle; son, David Johnson and wife, Grace of Haltom City; son-in-law, Donald Hamilton of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Marcia Hakes and husband Charlie of Bowie, Edna Smith of Hornell, New York; brother: Rev. James Cole and wife Betty of Roscoe, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
