Ponder ~ Efren Amaya Guevara, 47, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Temple, Texas.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the home.
Pastor Michael Jones will officiate. Pallbearers include Hector Aranda, Jesus Guevara, Everardo Guevara, Javier Guevara, Scott Guevara, Bartolo Guevara, and Jose Ordoñes.
Efren was born on January 16, 1973 to Bartolo and Maria Del Refujio (Amaya) Guevara in Ejido Morelos, Mexico. He was a machine operator at Esab, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Maria del Pilar Guevara and Mayra Leticia Guevara; 2 brothers, Juan Fernando Guevara and Ruben Guevara.

hose left behind to cherish his memory are 2 sons, Scott Efren Guevara and Bartolo Guevara both of Boyd; 4 brothers, Everardo Guevara, Jesus Guevara, Jorge Guevara, and Javier Guevara; 6 sisters, Dolores Guevara, Santa Laura Guevara, Rosita Guevara, Reyna Guevara, Maria Guevara and Fidencia Guevara; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
