Edwin Allan Fite

Edwin Allan Fite, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Funeral service is 10 AM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the church.

Officiant is David Slimp. Pallbearers are Robert Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Clay Herriage, Garrett Fite, Jim Lambert, and Jeremy Lambert.

Edwin Allan Fite was born May 15, 1940, in Tyler, Texas, to Ed Farrar and Joyce Marie (Lewis) Fite. He married the love of his life, Nora Jean Johnson, on April 19, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas. They were married for 57 years until her passing on February 12, 2020. Edwin enjoyed numerous outdoor sports like golf, fishing, and hunting, as well as bowling and watching football. He was a beloved Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

Edwin is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Joyce Marie Fite; his wife, Nora Jean Fite;

He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Herriage and husband Don; his son William Fite and wife April, grandchildren; Stephanie, Clay, Jackie and Garrett.; great grandchildren;  Hunter, Hayden, Peyton, Lena, Layla, Grayson, Tinsley, Brantley and Aynsley; brother, Tony Fite and wife Karen; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
