Edwin Carlisle

Chico ~ Edwin (E.L./Ed) Carlisle, 90, a preacher and farmer, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 25, 2018, in Chico.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Norwood-Crafton Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 Wednesday at the funeral home in Bridgeport.

Bro. Mark White will officiate. Pallbearers include Noel Ruddick, Terry Hand, Harold Ray Walker, Junior Walker, Chris Harrison, and Jeremy Carlisle.

Ed was born on July 13, 1928 to Edwin Forrest and Bessie (Stout) Carlisle in Crafton, Texas. He was united in marriage to Carol Ann Christopher on November 12, 2005 in Reserve, New Mexico. Ed was a member of the Church of Christ in Chico.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Julianna Carlisle; and his granddaughter, Angel Carlisle.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Carlisle of Chico; his daughter, Edna Ann Carlisle – Barnes and husband Stanley J. of Port Aransas; his son, Edward Carlisle and wife P.J. of Dallas; his son, Robert Norman; his daughter, Ann Conyers and husband Dewey of Silver City, New Mexico; his sons, Jerry Humphries and wife Rita of Chico, and Steve Humphries and wife Tracy of Baker City, Oregon; his daughter, Brenda Humphries of Chico; his son, Ike Humphries and wife Tiffany of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jeremy Carlisle and wife Tasha, Tiffany Williams and husband Nick, Breanna Carlisle, Jessica Autry and husband Eric, Jessie Conyers and wife, Martin Arce and wife Stephanie, Andrew Arce and wife Jennifer, Cody Conyers and wife Nikki, Natashia Humphries and Steven, Harvey Humphries, Marden Radvillas, Rebecca Whittle and husband Eric, Jazmine Humphries, Candace Stiener and husband John Calvin, Taylor James (Cowboy) Humphries, Kaylee Humphries, Seth Hanner, and Keltzy Brake; his great-grandchildren, Mason Carlisle, Maddox Carlisle, Bristol Williams, Gavin Williams, Alec Autry, Lessa Autry, Katelynn Arce, Zachary Arce, Andrew Arce Jr., Addison Arce, Ryker Conyers, Dean Conyers, Tobin Verkooijen, Labreana Shelby, Nyasha Shelby, Dakota Ornelas, Journey Ornellas, Jack Whittle, Jaden Conyers, Sarah Conyers, and Wyatt Conyers; his sisters, Reba Epps and husband Toby of Chico, and Rena Price of Mt.
