Edna (Mcphail) Baker
October 16, 1912 — July 22, 2014
Chico ~ Edna McPhail Baker, 95, an entrepreneur and a U.S. Army veteran, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Chico.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
Edna was born on October 16, 1918 to Marcheston and Abby (Matthews) McPhail in Sampson County, North Carolina. She was united in marriage to Frank Baker on July 17, 1943 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Edna was the founder and owner of Baker Hearing Aids. She proudly served her country in the United States Army.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Baker; and her son, Lee Baker.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are her daughter, Edna Guthmiller and husband JC of Chico; her son, Frank Baker III; her grandchildren; her sisters, Christine Smith of Geneva, Alabama and Willodene Stevenson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; other relatives, and a host of friends.
