Edith Jeannette Christian

Edith Jeannette Christian, 88, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 19th, at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Tyler will officiate. Pallbearers include Scott White, Cody Christian, Colton White, Tyler White, Jeremy Watson, Jason Jones, Reggie Hickerson, Mark Foster, and Frank Maxwell.

Jeannette was born January 13th, 1937 to William Byron and Joethel (Jameson) Snow in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage January 21st, 1956 to Hayes Christian in Waurika, Oklahoma. Jeannette was retired from the banking industry after many years in the business. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Joethel Snow; her husband, Hayes Christian; her son, Greg Christian, and a sister, Linda Brownlee.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jamie Christian of Burneyville; her daughters, Angela Caddell of Paradise, and Amy White and husband Scott of Decatur; 5 grandchildren, Cody, Tiffney, Carley, Colton, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Riley, Macey, Blaine, Reese, Cash, Kenley, Tinley, Kace, Easton, Channing, Jamie, and baby Lawson in October; extended family and a host of friends.
