Dorris Elaine (Utley) Dickey

Rhome ~ Dorris Dickey, 89, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur, Texas with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Brayden Byrne, David Davis, Freddy Reed, Shannon Jones, Colby Aldridge, and Ronnie Moore.

Dorris was born October 6, 1934 to Dewey and Jennie Belle (Simmons) Utley in Boyd, Texas. She was united in marriage February 27, 1954 to Tony Mack Dickey at the First Baptist Church in Rhome, Texas. Doris had retired after more than 42 years with Texas Refinery, starting out as a sales manager then Assistant Vice President. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Mack Dickey; and her son, Tony Rhett Dickey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Missy Dickey Brown of Rhome; grandchildren, Whitney, Caleb, Torrie, Jerri, Bailey, Whispy, Brayden, Beth, and Bo; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Bryson, Alijah, Nova, Mallory, Tytan, and Morgan; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends; and her beloved best friend, Barbara Main.
