Dorrel Fred Jones

Dorrel Fred Jones, 94, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Memorial Service is Saturday, 11:00 a.m. November 15th at First United Methodist in Decatur.

Dorrel was born July 18th, 1931 to Dorrel Pierce and Julia (Bellah) Jones in Canyon, Texas. He was united in marriage December 22nd, 1962 to Maria Cruz “Cuca” Orama in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Dorrel was a machinist for over 27 years for Poco Graphite. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorrel and Julia Jones; a brother, John Paul Jones; and a sister, Jan Wadding.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Cuca Jones of Decatur; his son, David Jones and wife Kathleen of Aloha, Oregon; his daughter, Lynette Hudson and husband William of Little Elm; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Christian, and Annie; 3 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Noah, and Hannah; 4 nieces, and 1 nephew; a sister in law, Kay Jones; extended family members and a host of friends.
