CHICO -- Dorothy "Dottie" Gann, 81, a retired bookkeeper, died Monday, February 6, 2006 in Bridgeport. Funeral: 10 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Dottie was born on May 29, 1924 in Hillsboro, Texas to the late Thomas and Alma (Campbell) Davis. She married Eldred D. Gann on February 13, 1950 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death after 48 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law: Cindy and Luke McKittrick; her son: Mickey Sims; and her grandson: Michael Sims. Survivors: grandson: Luke McKittrick and wife Bobbie of Bridgeport; daughter-in-law: Wanda Sims of Whitney; granddaughters: Deborah McConnell of California, Michelle Otterson and husband Ted of Fort Worth, Krissy Sims of Whitney; great grandchildren: Kylie, Luke, and Brenna McKittrick; brother-in-law George Gann and wife Sissy of Granbury. Pall bearers will be: Jesse Wilkins, Lynn Mowery, Roy Teague, Arlon Morris, Eugene Grooms, David Harless, Kenneth Buckner, and Gary Britton. Honorary pallbearers will be: William McDaniel and Butch South.
