Decatur ~ Dorotha Mae Small, 96, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Decatur Church of Christ with burial at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Rick Ross will officiate. Pallbearers include Eric Vincent, Doyle Low, and David Isham, Cary Obidinski, Shane Small, and Kevin Small.
Dorotha was born on September 4, 1921 to George and Eula (Medcalf) Mckeever in Paris, Texas. She was united in marriage to Albert Henry Small on June 22, 1940 in Irving. Dorotha retired as a high school attendance clerk. She was a member of the Decatur Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers; 1 sister.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, George Small and wife Pam, Curtis Small and wife Margie of Weatherford; her daughters, Alma Jean Fenton of Tyler, Audrey Dyer and husband John of Decatur, Cindy Buckholz and husband David of Granbury; her sister, Melba Gotcher of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
