Doris (Williams) Shackelford

Decatur ~ Doris Shackelford, 93, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Paradise Cemetery with visitation 30 minutes prior to service at cemetery.

Doris “Granny” was born August 7, 1927 to Boss and Ora Williams in Henrietta, Texas. She was a homemaker and a beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who will be dearly missed. Doris was a member of the Decatur Quilt Club and a volunteer at Decatur Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roy Shackelford.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughter Sharon Shackelford Sloan of Decatur; son Larry Shackelford of Decatur; son Mark Shackelford and wife Gina of Poolville; grandsons Jake and Randy of Austin, Curtis and wife Callie of Poolville; great-grandsons Elisha and Ellis; great-granddaughter Mattie; two sisters; extended family and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers family request donation be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
