Doris Jean (Ennis) Roberts

Alvord ~ Doris Jean Roberts, 86, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Alvord.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

M ichael Feese will officiate.

Doris was born on June 26, 1931 to Arson and Evelyn (Lankford) Ennis in Cairo, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Bert Wayne Roberts on August 27, 1956 in Arlington, Texas. Doris retired from Decatur Air Cooled Engines where she was owner for 50 plus years. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alvord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Roberts.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Selma Watkins and husband Kevin of Alvord; her son, Larry Allen Payne and wife Patricia of Crafton; her grandchildren, Robin Truitt and husband Greg of Eagle Mountain Lake, Amy Williams and husband Sean of Lake Bridgeport and LeAnn Chabert and husband Josh of Decatur; 6 great grandchildren; her brothers, Bill Ennis and wife Louisa of Hurst, Jerry Ennis and wife Doris of Yukon, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
