LEWISVILLE--- Doris Orene (Fest) Hixson, 91, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Lewisville.
Graveside Service: 11 AM Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 10 AM prior to the graveside service. Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate, assisted by Chuck Hixson. Pallbearers: Tyler Johnson, Tim Keskett, Roland Davis, and Jimmy Richards.
Doris was born on December 9, 1917, the daughter of Frank and Olive (Fabian) Fest, in San Antonio. She was a homemaker. She married Charles Oliver Hixson, Sr. on May 20, 1937 in San Antonio. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her sons, Chuck Hixson and wife Roxanne of Dallas, Les Hixson of Lewisville; granddaughters, Shelley Johnson of Shanghai, China, Jenni Hixson of Dallas, Natalie Heskett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great grandchildren: Reese Anne Johnson, Carly Johnson, and Zachry Johnson all of China.
