Doris was born May 16, 1929 to Lester Marshall and Bessie Mae (Braden) Smith. She was a graduate of Paschal High School in Fort Worth. Doris worked in book and tape ministry and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas.
Left behind to cherish her memory is daughter, Jan Davis of Decatur; sister, Vivagene Wilhite; sister-in-law, Cathy Smith; and special niece, Judy Lynn Denson all of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Doris was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and son, Benjamin Dale Davis.
