Denton ~ Doris Ann Crawley Culpepper, 83, a retired administrative assistant, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Denton.
Memorial service is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate.
Doris was born on March 29, 1931 to William and Lois (Risor) Crawley in Chicago, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Eddie Culpepper on February 14, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas. Doris was a retired administrative assistant for Decatur Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Culpepper; her brothers, Donald, Gilbert, Darrell, Bob, and Robert Crawley; her sisters, Betty Dolinshek, Marion Brown, and Baby Crawley; her grandson, Kelly Matthis.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are her daughters, Kay Matthis and husband Conrad of Granbury; Linda Powers and husband Doyle of Fort Worth, Brenda Porter and husband Les of Denton, Sandra Jaurez and husband John of Krum; her son, James Culpepper and wife Karen of Bridgeport; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters in-law, Margaret Culpepper, Judy Culpepper, Betty Culpepper, and Ingrid Crawley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
