Donnie Burdine

Alvord~ Donnie Burdine, 74, a mechanic, went to be with our Lord, April 22, 2019 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church Alvord with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers are Wesley Monett, Colby Burdine, Cody Burdine, Jonathan Burdine, Yank Worthington and Tommy Lacour.

Donnie was born January 17, 1945 to Otis and Ora (Butler) Burdine in Magnolia. He was united in marriage to Paula (Martin) Burdine on July 21, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanne (Williams) Burdine; his brothers, Norman, Larry, Winston Burdine, Jimmy Burdine, and Allen Burdine.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 11 years, Paula (Martin) Burdine of Runaway Bay; his daughters, Cristen Burdine of Bridgeport, and Heather McClain of Hallsville; his son Scott Burdine of Bridgeport; his grandson, Wesley Monett of Chico; his granddaughter, Willow Burdine of Runaway Bay; his sister, Diane Blake of Alvord; other relatives and a host of friends.
