Donna Jo Sherrin

Boyd ~ Donna Jo Sherrin, 72, went to be with our Lord Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Plano.

Donna was born on August 14, 1953, to Donald and Hazel (Weathers) Roberts in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. After many years of passionately preparing meals for others, she made the decision to retire from her role as a restaurant cook. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shonda McCarter of Newark; her son, Kevin Yale and his wife, Brandie of Rhome; her grandchildren, Kelli Hart of South Padre, Stormi Wilson of Boyd, Ryan Yale of Bowie, Kaylee Yale of Rhome, and Karley Yale of Rhome; her brother, Dewayne Roberts and his wife, Marla of Leoma, Tennessee; her sisters, Cheryl Vanrendon of Benton, Arkansas, Patty McKinley and her husband, Paul of Redfield, Arkansas, Regina Vanpelt of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Pam Benefield and her husband, David of Ethridge, Tennessee; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
