Donna Kaye Currie

Donna Kaye Currie, 73, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in Eastland, Texas.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday the 7th at the funeral home.

Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers include Bill Jenkins. Brendan Saunders, Jacoby Read, Blake Read, Brauch Walker and Brian Gregory.

Donna was born December 17, 1952 to Ronald Dean and Barbara (Kemp) Knight in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Jason Currie. Donna graduated with an Associate’s Degree in nursing from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas. She was a retired insurance agent after many years with Jeff Schaffer’s office. Donna was a beloved mother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Barbara Knight; her husband, Jason Currie; and her sister, Cynthia Bays.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters, Michelle Gregory and husband Brian of Midland, Denise Williamson of Ranger and Jenny Read of Wylie; her son, William “Bill” Jenkins of Justin; her sister, Diana Borghesi and husband Donnie of Newark; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; extended family and a host of friends.
