Donald Odell Wilson

Boyd ~ Donald Odell Wilson, 86, a retired plumber and horse trainer, passed away, March 3, 2019, in Gainesville.

Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Donald was born on January 14, 1933, to Dovie Wilson in Leo, Texas. He proudly served our country in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Ruby Stapp; and his brothers, Harold, Bobby and Carol Stapp.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Blane Wilson and wife Charlene of Boyd, Quinn Wilson of Boyd, and Terry Wilson of Denton; his grandchildren, Casie, Brittany, Tuesday, Shauna, Chris, Trey, and Brianna; his great-grandchildren, Reese, Hudson, and Ella; his sisters, Vicky Bletsh and husband George, Alma Stapp, and Imogene Scholting; his brother, Ricky Stapp; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
