Saginaw: Dollie Velma Hardy, 84, formerly of Rhome, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, September 18, 2010 in Saginaw.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 21st at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Shreve officiating. Interment: Aurora Cemetery. Family visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Randy Tice, Kelly Swafford, Tom Hardy, Brad Knox, Joe Arriola and Daren Hamrick.
Dollie was born on January 2, 1926 in Rhome, Texas to Ruben Jasper and Mary Rudell McDonald Anderson. Dollie retired in 1976 from Montgomery Wards. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She married O.K. Hardy on April 12, 1946 in Weatherford, Texas and was married 52 years at his death in 1998. Dollie is also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Buttram and Vinnie Strickling; and four brothers Logan, R. J., Wiley, G.W.
Left behind to cherish her memory are son, Jack Hardy and wife, Vicki of Crowley; daughter, Shirley Knox and husband, Price of Saginaw; sister, Mae Harwell of Bowie; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandsons.
