Bridgeport ~ Devin McKenzie Geninatti, 17, a student at Bridgeport High School, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Devin was born on October 25, 1999 to John Geninatti Jr. and Shannon (Hamer) Hardy in Carrollton, Texas. As a student at Bridgeport High School, Devin competed in cross country and ran track. He ran his personal best time this year at District, running 17:15 to finish 18th contributing to the Bulls advancing to the regional cross country meet. Devin finished 50th out of 176 runners at regionals. He finished with a time under 19 minutes, 6 times out of 8 this season. Devin was the #5 runner in the top 7 runners from Bridgeport. He was a 2 time regional cross country qualifier.

Devin was preceded in death by his brother, Austin Tyler Geninatti; his grandfather, Linnie Hamer; his grandmother, Terrie Hamer; and his grandfather, John Geninatti Sr.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Shannon Hardy and husband Johnny Armstrong Sr. of Bridgeport; his father, John Geninatti and wife Traci of Greensboro, North Carolina; his sister, Erica Geninatti of Bridgeport; his brother, Roger Johnson of Mesquite; his sister, Brittany Johnson of Garland; his brother, Johnny Armstrong Jr. of Bridgeport; his grandmother, Vicki Pryor of Litchfield, Illinois; his uncle, Jeff Geninatti and wife Trilby of Ardmore, Oklahoma; his uncle, Scott Hamer and wife Misty of Lake Dallas; his cousin, Jonte Geninatti of Ardmore, Oklahoma; numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Family request in Lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Bridgeport High School Track Booster Club.
