Dessie Ellen Schluter

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, at Coker-Hawkins Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Withers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Nathan Schluter, Christopher Schluter, Daniel Schluter, Joey Schluter, Bobby Schluter, Les McGee, Tommy Usrey, and C.H. Schluter.

Honorary Pallbearers: Van Schluter, Hal Schluter, Don Schluter, Robert Gorden, George Moseley, Charles Moseley, James Moseley, and Clifford Moseley.

Dessie was born February 16, 1933 in Swartz, Louisiana to John Albert Sr. and Lena (Hall) Moseley. She married Bobby Paul Schluter on August 19, 1950 in Weatherford, Texas.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nancy Gorden and husband Robert of Forney; 3 sons, Van Schluter and wife Shela of Rhome, Hal Schluter of Copperas Cove, and Don Schluter of Rhome; 14 grandchildren, Audrey, Chris, Daniel, Joey, Chelsea, Marla, Vanessa, Bobby, Nathan, Christina, Angela, C.H., Tiffany, and April; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, George, Charles, James, and Clifford Moseley; 1 sister, Eddie Marie Williams; sister-in-law, Bonnie Schluter-Dickson; numerous, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Amy Schluter; 3 brothers, Joe Moseley, Leonard Moseley, and John Albert Moseley, Jr.; 2 sisters, Beulah Mae Randall and Jean Sisley.
