Dennis Lee Payton

Bridgeport ~ Dennis Lee Payton, 79, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Decatur.

Dennis was born on September 6, 1944 to Lavern and Mabel Payton in Iowa City, Iowa. He retired as a truck driver and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Dennis was a beloved father, grandfather, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Robin Payton, Marcy Payton, and LaDusta Payton; his sons, Rowdy Payton, Dennis Keith Payton, and Steve Pitts; 8 grandchildren; his sister, Phylis Terwilliger; his friend, Rhonda McIlroy; other relatives and a host of friends.
