Decatur ~ Bert Demoin Eady, 81, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.

Demoin was born March 26, 1942 to Bruce & Maybell (Hannabass) Eady in Walters, Oklahoma. Demoin and his parents lived in multiple locations throughout Oklahoma following his father’s ministry with the United Methodist Church. He was united in marriage January 11, 1960 to Earlene Ann Thomas in Vernon, Texas. Demoin started his career at Malone Ford in Apache, Oklahoma and then moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma followed by Dave Markley Ford in Yukon, Oklahoma where he earned Oklahoma Ford Parts Manager of the year during his tenure. In Yukon, while raising a young family of 4 children, her was heavily involved in Boy Scouts as Scout Master. He enjoyed camping and other adventures with the Boy Scout group. Then the family moved to Texas with Demoin continuing to be a Ford Parts Manager. Demoin retire from Bill Utter Ford in Denton, Texas in 2011.

Upon going to work for Bill Utter Ford, Demoin and Earlene purchased property where he built their home. Later Demoin went into livestock business including goats, cattle, chickens and horses. Demoin was heavily involved and passionate about genealogy. Recently through many hours of research, he traced the family back to the early 1400’s.

Demoin was a beloved, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Bruce & Maybelle Eady; his son, Scott Eady; a brother, Bryan Eady; and sister-in-law, Marlene Hall.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Earlene Eady of Decatur; 3 daughters, Tracey Eady of Bedford, Sherri Moran & husband Robert of Yukon, Oklahoma, DeeAnn Anumel & husband James of Grand Prairie; 4 grandchildren, Lisa, Taryn, Chad, & Abbie; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gerhua Eady; brother-in-law, Russ Hall; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family of Demoin Eady would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Wise Health Systems for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
