Deloris Marie (Rutherford) Piper

Haltom City ~ Deloris Marie Piper, 71, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her home in Haltom City.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Fort Worth with burial at 2:00 p.m. at Aurora Cemetery.

Deloris was born July 13, 1952 to Robert and Vivian (Schultz) Rutherford in Perry, Oklahoma. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Deloris married Bill Piper on February 2, 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deana Gaston; brothers, George and Roger Rutherford; and a sister, Karen Botkin.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Bill Piper of Haltom City; son, Jonathan Piper and wife Emily Green of Boerne; daughter, Lindsay Sultana and husband Richard of Bedford; grandchildren, Luke and Liam Sultana, Sophia and Stella Piper, Nathan and Candace Gaston, and Collin Gaston; great grandchildren, Maddox, Delaney, and Kennedy Gaston; brothers, Gene and Irvin Rutherford; sisters, Pat Allen and Reba Pippin; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
