Deaun Carpenter

Paradise ~ Deaun Carpenter, 76, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, in Paradise.

Deaun was born on October 7th, 1949, to Harold and Bettye Jo (Fine) Carpenter in Little Field, Texas. He was united in marriage to Marsha Lee Carpenter on August 7th, 1971, and shared 53 years, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Deaun was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many who will miss her dearly. He was a man who found joy in staying busy and making the most of every day. He loved fishing and hunting, spending time outdoors and enjoying the simple things in life. Deaun was also a talented builder who took pride in working with his hands, and there was rarely a time when he wasn’t working on a project or finding something to keep him busy. His faith was an important part of his life. For 20 years, he faithfully served as a leader of his church choir, sharing his love of music and using his gifts to worship and encourage others. Deaun’s dedication to his church left a lasting impression on those around him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Lee; his parents, Harold and Bettye Jo Carpenter; and his brothers, Harold Wayne Carpenter and Donnie Bruce Carpenter.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Scott Eric Carpenter and his wife, Pauline, of Decatur, Brent Allen Carpenter and his wife, Misty Cherise, of Paradise; his sister, Patricia Camp; his grandchildren, Victoria, Summer, Ryan, Dawson, Sydney, and Owen; his great-grandchildren, Ryder, Roman, and Stone; other relatives and a host of friends.
