David W. Sanders

Chico ~ David W. Sanders, 91, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Decatur.

A memorial service will be at a later date.

David was born on February 16, 1933 to James Kenneth and Lavora Ida (Goodwin) Sanders in Jackson, Mississippi. He was united in marriage to Guadalupe Sigala on November 30, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico. They spent 55 beautiful years together before her passing in 2022. David proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He worked for the City of Chico for numerous years as the city utility and public works. David was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lavora Sanders; his wife, Guadalupe Sanders; his son, Jaime Sanders; his daughter, Patricia Brown; his granddaughter, Amanda Maxson; and his grandsons, Christopher Corniel and Albert Mitchell.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cynthia Taylor of Edwards, Missouri, Alma Danks of Sutherland Springs, and Nancy Maxson of Decatur; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
