David was born June 11, 1958 in Decatur, Texas and was the son of Ted Lewis of Decatur. David graduated from Utopia High School and attended Baylor University in Waco. In 1976, he and his father owned Wise Construction in Dallas, which was the beginning of a career as a construction superintendent. David was a commercial contractor for restaurants, banks and schools.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving parents, daughter, Alana; two grandsons, J.P. and David; and 1 granddaughter, Jena.
