David L. Jenkins

Runaway Bay~ David L. Jenkins, 79 of Runaway Bay went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Runaway Bay.

A Family Service will be held at a later date to honor David.

David was born on December 10, 1940 to Loren Richard and Christina (Barnard) Jenkins in Mounds, Oklahoma. He was a veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. David was united in marriage to Janice King on November 4, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tulsa University with a degree in Economics and later worked in data processing. David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, friend to many and he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Alan Jenkins.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Jan Jenkins of Runaway Bay; his daughter, Jana Bennett and Tim of Chico; his son, Jeff Jenkins and Sonia of Grass Valley; his grandchildren, Rachel Gilreath and Travis of Decatur, Andrew Bennett and wife Bree of Aubrey, and Avery and Blake Jenkins; his great-grandchildren, Aiden Gilreath and Clayton Bennett; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
