Chico ~ David Wayne Herrera, 52, a painter, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Beaumont.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Cementerio Mexicano. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dr. Van Gardner will officiate. Pallbearers include Michael Ramirez, Eric Herrera, Derick Herrera, Carmen Martinez, Carlos Martinez, and Kevin Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Machielle Coleman and Lori Coleman.
David was born on August 14, 1961 to Thomas and Aselma (Martinez) Herrera in Bridgeport, Texas. He was a painter by trade. David was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Marisa Lynn Herrera of Richardson; his sons, David Scott Herrera of Paradise and David Wayne Herrera II of Ada, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Courtnei, Corey and Landon; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
