DECATUR -- David W. Brookshire, 71, retired from Tarrant County Water Board after 44 years, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 in Decatur.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Dido Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Officiating: Bro. Michael Brookshire. Pallbearers: Chris Alland, Scott Brookshire, Burl cash, Dale White, Zachary Brookshire, Tommy Gordineer, and Jon Brookshire.
David was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Edward and Syble Brookshire. He married Ann Wooten on December 20, 1952 in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann on October 31, 2005.
Survivors: daughter, Deborah Ann Chapman and husband Ron of decatur; sons, Ricky Wayne Brookshire and wife Sherry of Burleson,, and Dan Brookshire of Weatherford; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Brookshire and wife Delma of Bridgeport; sister-in-law, Nancy Wooten-Bailey of Weatherford.
