Darrell W. Blocker

Chico ~ Darrell Blocker, 92, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 2, 2019, in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Darrell was born September 8, 1926, to Winfred O. and Myrtle (Moser) Blocker in Chico. He was united in marriage, October 21, 1975 to Barbara Haynes in Henrietta. Darrell served our country in the U.S. Army. He retired from General Dynamics after 26 years as a mechanic. Darrell was a rancher and participated in the oil and gas industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Blocker of Chico; his daughters, Diane Blocker of Chico and Rita Gonzales and husband Victor of Chico; his grandchildren, Corey Driver and wife Leona, and Willie Wilson and wife Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Grayson Wilson, Maycie Wilson, Shady Driver, Dade Driver, and Mason Mitchum, Amber Mitchum, and Brooklyn Mitchum; his great-great grandson, Alexander Sleniger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
