Boonsville ~ Danny Lee Vaught, 80, a production supervisor, went to be with our Lord Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with burial in Boonsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Father Gonzo and Father Jacob will officiate. Pallbearers are Daniel Vaught, Chris Vaught, Allen Vaught, Don Bessinger, Erik Payne, and Rick Zellars.

Danny was born on November 3, 1930 to Basil and Naoma (Knight) Vaught in Archer City, Texas. He married Betty Jean Myers on June 2, 1951 in Jacksboro. Danny was employed by Mitchell Energy and was a rancher. He was a graduate from the School of Hard Knocks and a member of Knights of Columbus. Danny was a member of St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Wayne Vaught; his grandson, Michael Duane Vaught; and his brother, Phillip Dwayne Vaught.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Betty Jean (Myers) Vaught of Boonsville; his son, Phillip Vaught and wife Maggie of Waco; his daughter, Teresa Vaught Shaw and husband Doug of Lovelady, Texas; his son, Josh Vaught and wife Sarah of Grapevine; his daughter, Lacasey Casillas and husband Jesse of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Daniel Vaught, Christopher Vaught, Allen Vaught and wife Donna, Erik Payne, Michelle Vaught, and Melissa Litzkow; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Jonathan, Cole, Camden, Shelby, Ethan, and Cameron; other family members and a host of friends.

I work with Phil in Waco and just wanted to send my condolences to the family. Phil is always talking about his Dad and I know he will miss him greatly. I pray that the Lord will comfort and keep you all in this very hard time of grief and sorrow.
