Daniel "Buddy" Edward Ward

Decatur ~ Daniel Edward “Buddy” Ward, 88, a retired minister, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.

Pastor Fred Ferren will officiate.

Buddy was born on February 25, 1930 to Jessie and Lovina (Peters) Ward in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Aaron Elizabeth Croy on October 29, 1954 in Lewisville, Texas. Buddy retired as a pastor of 60 plus years. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Chico.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Aaron of 61 years; his son, John Calvin Ward.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Eddie Ward and wife Christi of Alvord, Danny Ward and wife Tonya of Alvord, Kevin Ward and wife Faith of Decatur; his brother, Jessie Ward of Harlingen, Texas; his sister, Thelma Ragland of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
