D Edward Rich

Corinth ~ D Edward Rich, 84, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Dallas.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

D was born on October 14, 1938 to Dalton and Annie (Tipps) Rich in Sunset. He was united in marriage to Sarah Bell Gilliland on June 2, 1961 in Paradise. D was a distribution superintendent at TXU for 37 years. He was a beloved father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Annie Rich; his wife, Sarah Rich; his sister, Ruby Martin; and 2 brothers, Joe and Curtis Rich.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are 3 daughters, Lori Hartman and husband Randy of Carrollton, Tracy Rich-Cornwell and husband John of Dallas, and Melisa Cannon and husband Ward of Corinth; 2 grandsons, Tyler Cannon and wife Christian of Corinth and Mason Cannon and wife Brianna of Ponder; 5 great-grandchildren, Alya, Everly, Charlotte, Cooper, and Mila; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
