Cynthia Elaine Smith 11-7-1960 - 10-7-2022
On Friday, October 7, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Boyd, Texas, Cindy, devoted wife, mother, beloved MawMaw, sister, aunt, and friend, was welcomed into the gates of heaven at 12:04 PM.
Cynthia Elaine Sherman was born on November 7, 1960, in Decatur, Texas to Earl and Elaine Sherman. In 1963 when Cindy was 3 years old, Milton Andress assumed the role of father and lovingly raised her. Cindy married the love of her life, Bud Smith, in 1989. Her favorite role was MawMaw and was a force and a light for her grandchildren.
Cindy was preceded in death by her biological father, Earl Sherman; mother, Elaine Andress; brother, Eugene Andress; sister, Kim Andress; and two precious babies, Tamara and Shaun Hunt.
The growing legacy she leaves behind includes her husband, Bud Smith; father, Milton Andress; sister, Angela Brown and husband Derek; brothers David Sherman and Dusty Sherman; son, Brian Hunt; daughters, Jennifer Bulpitt and husband Jesse; Sherri Naugle and husband Matt; and Brittany Erwin and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Wyatt, Raychel, Alayna, Miley, Sarah, Alaina, Allie, Landyn, and Everett.
She also loved her nephews, Sean, Brendan, and Juston; nieces Courtney, Brooklyn, Jessica, and Rene, and her many great-nieces and nephews.
