BRIDGEPORT -- Clyde "Red" Dukes, 87, the owner of Allison Implement in Allison, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 in Bridgeport. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. 2 p.m. Wednesday at Allison School Gym in Allison. Burial: Wheeler Cemetery.
Red was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Dukes, sons, Jimmie Dukes and Claude Pewitt, grandson, Johnny Wayne Dukes, and granddaughter, Ashley Terrell.
Survivors: Wife, Anna Dukes of Bridgeport; daughters, Diana Chatham and husband Tom of Halfmoon Bay, CA., Cindy Starnes and husband Jim of destin, FL., Adeline Hammer and husband Jack of Panhandle, TX, and Sylvia Richardson and husband Joe of Paradise, TX; sons, Johnnie Dukes and wife Nelda of Fort Worth, TX, Bob Dukes and wife Peggy of Amarillo, TX, Clyde Jr. Dukes and wife Jane of briscoe, TX, Melvin Pewitt and wife LaNell of Bridgeport, TX, and Jim Pewitt and wife Shirley of Paradise, TX; 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Dukes; and sister, Minnie Belle Vinson.
