Clifton was born on December 1, 1930 to Buster and Ann (Franklin) Linthicum in Tintop, Texas. He was united in marriage to Johnnie Ann Golaz on July 8, 1988 in Fort Worth. John was a maintenance worker for Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Clifton proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Johnnie Linthicum of Fort Worth; his children, Billie Ann Shelton of Saginaw, Jimmy Dwayne Lee and wife Lisa of Azle, Anita Joyce Bradley and husband Scott of Keller, Debra Sue Williams of White Settlement; 6 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
