Clayton O'Brian Ford, 56, of Springtown was a cherished soul who departed this world peacefully on August 8, 2025.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 1-3 PM at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Born on December 31, 1968, in the heart of Tarrant County, Clayton embraced life with a boundless spirit that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. A proud graduate of Mansfield high school, Clayton carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life. His passion for the great outdoors was evident in his love for hunting and fishing, pursuits that not only provided him with joy but also brought him closer to nature and the simple pleasures it offers. His affection for his farm, a sanctuary where he found solace and peace, mirrored his deep connection to the land. Clayton was also an avid traveler, his adventurous spirit propelling him to explore new horizons, always seeking to experience the beauty of the world around him. But no adventure was ever complete without the companionship of his beloved dogs, whose loyalty and exuberance matched his own.
In his departure, Clayton leaves behind a family who adored him deeply. His son, Bryan Bivens carries forward the legacy of love and strength that Clayton instilled in him. A proud grandfather, Clayton relished every moment spent with his grandson, Kace Bivens, nurturing a bond that words could scarcely encapsulate. The warmth of his family extended through the generations, from his cherished grandmother, Ann Cannon, to Uncle Kenneth Cannon, Aunt Cathy Cannon, and his cousins Jeremy Cannon and Clint & Charley Ford. Clayton’s circle of friendships was an ever-expanding tapestry, featuring dear friends such as Lee Fessenden, Bryan "Nubs" Strand, and John Rogers, alongside a host of other companions who enriched his life with laughter and camaraderie.
Though he has left this earthly realm, Clayton's spirit and the memories he created will echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family and friends remains a guiding light, reminding us to cherish every moment and the bonds that connect us.
