Boyd ~ Clarence William "Bill" Smith, 79, owner of Smith Oil Company went to be with our Lord, Friday, July 29, 2011 in Decatur.

Bill was born August 27, 1931 to Harold and Ruby (Newcum) Smith in Red Rock, Oklahoma. He married Lorraine Marie Russell on May 17, 1984 in Gainesville, Texas. Bill proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and he was a Mason. He was the owner of Smith Oil Company, owned and operated a service station in Wilson, Oklahoma for many years and was a jobber for Conoco Oil Company.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his stepson, Darryl Doherty; his brother, Jimmy Smith, and his sister, Shirley Marutzky.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Lorraine Smith of Boyd; his son, David Smith of Blue Springs, Missouri; his daughter, Cynthia Melton and husband Rick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his stepsons, Mark Doherty of Pryor, Oklahoma and Chris Doherty of Duncan, Oklahoma; his stepdaughter, Jeanine Benenati and husband Pete of Springtown; his grandchildren, Ian, Tyler, April, Samuel, Lance, LeAnne, Delainey, Grace, Matt and Zac; his great grandchildren, Christina, Renee, Ann and Xavier; his sisters, Helen Hurst, Jean Barrett, Patricia Miller and Kay Ernst; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
