Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Feese officiating. Interment: Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Kevin Hubbard, Patrick Hubbard, Stephen Brock, Christopher Brock, Clay Stephens, Matt Enochs, Luc Enochs and Jason Hubbard.
C.J. was born April 12, 1934 in Olney, Texas to Aaron Cilmon and Mamie Louvenia (Rogers) Hubbard. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his two sons, Harvey E. Hubbard of Paradise and Clayton C. Hubbard and wife Roberta of Alvord; daughter, Sarah J. Enochs and husband Jim of Alvord; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arvel Hubbard and wife Mary Helen and Ronald Hubbard and wife Linda both of Decatur; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
C. J. was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Mary Jeanette Jenkins and sister, Mammie Hubbard.
