Alvord ~ Christene Ponder went to be with Lord Monday, September 27, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.
Memorial is 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021 at Living Word Assembly of God in Alvord, Texas.
Pastor Philip Weitner will officiate.
Christene was born January 8, 1945 to J.D. and Lizzie (Tennison) Lovell in Benjamin, Texas. She was united in marriage in 1963 to Robert Ray Ponder in Hereford, Texas. Christene was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Lizzie Lovell; her husband, Robert Ray Ponder; and her daughter Vickie Annette Bridges.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Ponder and wife Laticia of Sunset, and Jayson Ponder and wife Jessica of Montana; her 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; extended family members and a host of friends.
