Rhome: Christa Sue Marty, 72, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Friday, September 23, 2011 in Rhome.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28th at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Father Sojan George officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Private interment will follow the service.
Christa was born August 22, 1939 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Raymond and Lois M. (Kissinger) Wallen. She married Roger Marty on August 27, 1960 in Orange, California. She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Roger Marty of Rhome; daughter, Theresa Marie Marty and Marj French of Roseville, Minnesota; three sons, Mark Allen Marty and Annette of Concord, California, Timothy John Marty and Tabbie of Rhome, Texas, Jeffrey Lee Marty and Donna of Rolla, North Dakota; 11 granchildren, Zach, Briana, Caitlin, Caycee, Nick, Meghann, Colter, Caleb, Grayson, Rachel and Cody; sister, Joy Veal of Decatur; brother, Paul Wallen of Camas, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
