Fort Worth: Charlie Thomas "Tom" Maxwell, 75, went to be with our Lord, Monday, April 19, 2010 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, April 23rd at the Handley Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Danny Schertz, David Schertz, J. J. Wilson, Chance Wilson, Randy Wilson and Kevin Maxwell.
Tom was born April 20, 1934 in Greenwood, Texas to Thomas Newton and Jennie Mattie Royal Maxwell. He married Marjorie Nell Parker on September 2, 1955 in Fort Worth and was married 50 years at her death on September 10, 2005. Tom retired as a school administrator from Fort Worth ISD after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Handley Masonic Lodge No. 1140 and a member of Handley Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons, Jeff Maxwell and wife, Kelly of Greenwood, Tracy Maxwell and wife, Julie of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Emily and Zachary Maxwell; brother, Frank Maxwell and wife, Sue of Greenwood; sister, Mae Schertz of Slidell; sister-in-law, Anita Hyden and husband, James and brother-in-law, Belton Parker.
Tom is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Maxwell.
