DECATUR: Captain Charles "Charley" D. Scott, of Decatur, Texas was cremated at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home on July 13, 2007. He passed away at home with his family at his side on July 12, 2007 at the age of 73. He was a retired USAF and Braniff International captain. He was a member of the Community Church in Decatur and Bridgeport Country Club. He also loved to spend time at the Decatur Airport flying with his son, Dennis Scott.
SERVICE: There will be a memorial service 4:00p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Community Church in Decatur.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers the family has established a Mission Scholarship Fund at North Texas Bank, Decatur, Texas.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 51 years, Shirley Scott of Decatur; Son: Dennis Scott and wife Rosalinda of Decatur; 2 Daughters: Sandra Scott Dalton and husband Craig of Southlake, and Rae Scott Craig and husband Rick of Keller; Brother: Jim Scott and wife Dorothy of Oklahoma; 7 Grandchildren: Jerihmy Dalton, Franci Dalton Hardisty and husband Justin, Cassi Dalton, Amanda Scott, Daniel Scott, Ben Scott, and Brandon Craig; 2 Great Grandchildren: Taylor and Corey Dalton; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
